Victim's Criteria

Victim's Criteria

As a true national social activist Surya Prakash Mathur (SPM) Vaish is always ready to assist victims in India as per Indian Constitution laws. ’Victim’ as under criminal law “means a person who has suffered any loss or injury caused by reason of the act or omission of the accused person and includes the guardian or legal heir of such victim” as defined as under section 2(wa) of Criminal Procedure Code and section 2(y) of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhitha.

SPM Vaish often work with victims of corruption, injustice, violence, or neglect—especially those from marginalized or vulnerable communities. Victims of any caste, creed and from any part of India can approach him 24 X 7 for help and guidance. For better help he himself examines the case and evidences provided by the victim. While there’s no formal “victim's criteria” for a social activist SPM Vaish to engage with, there are common categories and conditions that guide his focus.

  • Violation of Fundamental Rights Protected under Articles the Indian Constitution.
  • Neglect by State Institutions. When victims are denied justice, compensation, or basic services.
  • Social and Economic Vulnerability. SPM Vaish prioritize those who lack the means to advocate for themselves.
  • Lack of Legal Representation or Awareness. Many victims are unaware of their rights or how to access justice.

While there are many articles in Indian Constitution to safeguard citizens but corruption is undermining these principles both in practice and in the legal structure itself. In today's world corruption in daily life isn’t just about high-profile scandals—it’s often subtle, normalized, and woven into everyday experiences. Corruption is the abuse of entrusted power for private gain. It can happen in public institutions, private businesses, or even personal interactions.

SPM Vaish believes corruption can’t be removed from a country except by the active participation of the people against corruption. As long as people are willing to be exploited by the corrupt officials or willing to exploit the corrupt system for their advantage, corruption can’t be eliminated.
